FAQs

How can therapy help me?

Therapy can support you in managing emotions, building focus, reducing anxiety, and improving behavior. It also empowers you with parenting strategies to better support your child at home and school.

What issues do you help with?

We are a group of highly-trained psychologists who specialize in a variety of challenging concerns such as in anxiety, panic, and obsessive thoughts, emotional and behavioral challenges, attention and executive functioning deficits, eating disorders, trauma, and parent-child relationships.

What type of clinicians work at Tampa Pediatric Psychology?

All of our child therapists are Licensed Psychologists in Florida who have graduated from a Ph.D. or Psy.D. program. We also offer services with our doctoral interns and postdoctoral residents at a reduced rate.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance — and that’s intentional. Staying out-of-network allows us to provide more personalized care, avoid insurance restrictions, and protect your privacy. You get to choose the therapist that fits best, not just the one your plan allows. We’re happy to provide a superbill if you’d like to seek reimbursement directly from your provider.

Is online therapy effective?

Yes. Children and teens often respond well to online therapy, and many find it easier to open up in their own space. We offer in-person sessions in Tampa for anyone who prefers to be seen at an office.

How do I get started?

Simply submit the contact form on this page. We’ll answer any questions, discuss your needs, and help you connect with the right therapist for your goals.

Do you offer comprehensive evaluations?

Yes, we offer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to help families understand their child’s needs.
